Dancing through life

Eddie was my boyfriend from my tenth birthday until we were in collage. He was my first love. He was my first kiss. We would walk our dogs together every night. Since our buildings faced each other and we could see each other from our bedrooms..he would whistle out the window to let me know he was taking Spooky for a walk. We usually wore matching black ponchos.. He would run down the six flights of stairs and whistle the whole time and I woul wait for him with my dog Buff. We would walk those dogs for a couple of hours. We shared our thoughts, ideas, sorrows..etc. we both loved to dance and we were good (if I do say so myself!). Our parents thought we were perfect together and so did his grandma. We drifted apart at times. And as the years went by we each dated others. Before I got married I tried to get in touch with him because I needed his advice.. He didn't call me and I did marry. I have danced with him in my dreams for 56 years. I wish we could have talked again as we did share one more thing that neither one of us knew about the other. I hope to dance with him in heaven again.
