On Saturday evening, Alex peaceful entered into eternal rest surrounded by his loving family and friends. A hard working, devoted family man, Alex is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Joan (nee Marshall). His daughters, Brenda Waleck (Bob) and Laura Mazza (Dale) were the core of his existence, complimented only by being Pampa to his four beautiful grandchildren, Grace and Nicholas Waleck and Maddie and Brooklyn Mazza whom he cherished with every fiber of his being. Alex is also survived by his loving sister, Sandra Bruno (Joe) and his brother, Dennis (Chris). He was a loving and patient uncle to his nieces and nephews, as well as his great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at Cusimano & Russo Funeral Home, 2005 West 6th Street, Brooklyn, NY 11223 from 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. and again from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, September 10, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Saint Marks Roman Catholic Church, 2609 East 19th Street, Brooklyn, NY 11223.
